Me and Skye Hi I am Skye and I am a 12.2hh blue roam, Harriet (my owner) normally calls me Skye is the limit as that is my show name! Harriet’s good friend amber made my name up as Harriet was trying to find a show name, the show names would either be Skye is the limit or blue Skye however Harriet thought Skye is the limit was the one so that’s my show name now!

2 I do dressage, show jumping and cross country, Harriet and I have just started to do bsja we really enjoy this and I get lots of treats if I am good (yummy!). Harriet is only 11years old and I am just 6, Harriet thinks im still a baby! I suppose I am, I love Harriet as she show’s me love and affection all the time!

1 I trust my owner Harriet and she trust’s me too, we have our ups and downs at competition, most the time I am really good so we achieve more, Harriet and my self go really good if we are good and really bad if we are bad ….. !

4 I stay at Middleton equestrian centre I have been there for about 20months now, Harriet’s granddad Paul brought me after about 2 months as Harriet begged n Kerry said it was the best for both me and Harriet, Harriet got me a week after her birthday!

Harriet Stanley and Skye is the limit !

Hello my name is Harriet and I’ve had Skye for a year and a bit now. I have been riding for just
over 6 years, I started riding at the age of 4! I rode at Bournevale Riding Stables for a year however I found out that it was not my cup of tea, so I came to Middleton Equestrian, my journey had just begun! I had a few instructors at Middleton, Dawn was one of them they taught me the very basic’s and then finally I was ready to have lessons with Gemma, she taught me every thing from sitting trot to cantering with out reins.

I couldn’t image a better instructor my self. I thought I was doing really good until the pony I was riding shied at a fence and I came off with my foot caught in the stirrup Rocky the pony I was riding galloped off we me. I don’t remember too much but my grandad said I was like a rag doll going in and out between her legs. I was in tears but Gemma had me riding again before the lesson ended and I have not stopped since.

After all my hard work and a few more falls I entered into a few competitions and I won some lost some after a bit I had some lessons with Kerry who owns the school, mainly jumping ones Kerry taught me how to ride like a rider! With the ups and the downs we still carried on!

I am now a member at Solihull Riding School and enjoy competing there once in a while, I have recently done BSJA ( British show jumping association) I had my first BSJA competition at Solihull, I went with my friend Melissa we didn’t get placed as we both had 4faults I have a 12.2hh pony and Melissa has a 14.2hh pony so the jumps are quiet large!!

Skye and myself have done dressage, show jumping and cross country! All 3 we enjoy not so much dressage however if u want to be a rider dressage comes in the package!
